About the Album
An album featuring the Black Keys and some of the biggest names in hip-hop will be released Nov. 27 2009 (the so-called "Black Friday" day after Thanksgiving) under the name Blakroc.

The project was spearheaded by rapper Jim Jones and also sports contributions from Mos Def, Q-Tip, RZA, Raekwon, Ludacris, Pharoahe Monch, NOE, Nicole Wray, Billy Danze and the late Ol' Dirty ~censored~.

Album Description
'Blakroc' is the self-titled debut album from blues-rock duo The Black Keys and hip hop producer Damon Dash's rap-rock outfit of the same name. Bringing together a who's who of hip hop vocalists including Mos Def, Q-Tip and RZA, the album manages to steer clear of the usual metal/rap crossover sound that normally dominates these projects, instead opting fora unique sounding blues-inspired hip hop feel.

Oh shit Jim Jones was behind this. I'm thoroughly impressed, maybe I was a little too hasty in shooting him down. I've noticed him taking a turn towards the underground, but he still hasn't impressed me enough to buy his music though.

His shit was cool as fuck with Mos Def on this album. I ended up just downloading all of the tracks individually.
