that thread explains everything you need to know, but here's a great method if you understand how to read it

grab a tube, the kind used for beer bongs, it should be around 10 feet long. if your window opens up and down, open it up a little bit. stick the tube out of your window, and have a little bit of it in your room (you will use this tube to blow your hits out of your room). close the window onto the tube, only enough to keep it secure. once you close your blinds, you should have a tube behind your blinds. the remaining 9 feet of your tube is outside, blowing the smoke away from your room.

take a bong hit, and blow it out this tube. make sure you have a secure lock onto the tube, let no smoke out. once your done, hide the tube behind your blinds and chill.

i've done this over 100 times, worked everytime.

Ive had it in anything from bottom of big bags you get from a supermarket to cling film, newspaper and the worst of all, no bag at all, but yer i just always carry a spare in my pocket, just incase haha (: you never know whats gonna happen when you pick up where i do.

thats a pretty broad statement. how would anybody know if a certain strain of plant exists on this entire earth? there could be purple haze in the wild. there could be a small time grower that has been growing purple haze over the years and is still growing it.

I doubt there's a purple haze growing in the wild. At least not the genetics that were once sought after.

I just don't think the actual, pure strain (because I'm sure there's some cross-genetics containing it) is out there. extinct..
I'm sure there are some Haze out there with purple genetics tho, but none of them will have the same combination of characteristics.
It's just a name after all..

You can buy Purple Haze seeds online, Purple haze is listed in the cannabible, it is just a strain of haze.

the problem is that jimi hendrix made the phrase famous with his song which was most likely referring to a dream he had, not lsd or weed. however, around the time the song came out, Hendrix played at a festival in Monterey. I dont remember the name of the guy, but someone created some really potent LSD and supposedly hendrix and half the crowd were all tripping on some "monterey purple", later refered to as purple haze. additionally, people constantly referred to any purple bud as purple haze.

Now that we are in the age of information that is all different. back in the 60's and 70's people could not come on a website like this to verify their weed strains or quality. Today you can pick up a nicely grown nug and compare it to either the Cannabible or to internet pictures and sometimes just from that can figure out the strain, sometimes. Back then it was much less common knowledge to know exactly what you are smoking other than some good, bad, regs or purps pretty much. so yeah, "purple haze", the slang term has gone out of usage because we now know the names of different strains and since then have created more. there's purple kush, grand daddy purps, purple power, purple, and lavender, just to name a few. So in that respect, yes its going to be extremely less likely that someone is going to give you purple bud calling it purple haze.

Also, there are dozens upon dozens of strains that are native to certain parts of the world as clone-only that most of you will never see, taste or smoke but that doesn't mean they are extinct or even close to it. Norcal-Trainwreck is one of my favorite strains. However its native to this area and unless you know someone or you come here you aren't ever going to try it. The same goes for Purple Kush which is also a california elite-clone only strain. Living in San Francisco where most of the growers who supply the clinics also supply the rest of the bay area, i get easy access to alot of strains that a lot of you will never ever see.

On the flip side, I have never had the pleasure of seeing or smoking Northern Lights which has been one of my goals.

Basically, just because you can't get your hands on it doesn't mean it doens't exist and the fact that it seems a lot more scarce is probably only due to the fact the people have become more informed and do not inccorectly label their weed as purple haze anymore when it can be one of several other purple strains or due to poor temperature control during the en of the growing cycle.

No doubt I could be wrong, but seeing as how there are no credible sources pertaining to the extinction of the strain as opposed to several sites selling seed and several books/sites listing the strain, I am lead to believe that this whole thing about purple haze is just a fuss over nothing. purple haze was blown out of proportion because it was in a jimi hendrix song and so people assumed it was this amazing strain. This along with the loose usage of the term made it somehow legendary when in reality although it is a pretty good strain, its nothing amazing. And i think that is why everyone has this notion that it is extinct. The legendary purple haze strain never existed as people think it did. it was just purple haze, a purple strain of haze, thats it.

Recently bought an Easyvape vapo and have used it a couple of times. However, I am unsure as to what the optimal temperature should be to get a really good vape without any burning. I started out using it at 355 F and this seemed to work fine but a more experienced smoker told me I should be using it at 240 F which is a considerable difference.
