What would the sky look like if...
...A black tarp was layed over every body of water on earth.

Blue because the color of the sky isn't tied to light reflected off of the oceans but rather how gas in the atmosphere absorbs shorter wavelengths of light and radiates them (blue).

lol... did you really think the skys colour had anything to do with the reflection from water? And where the fuck are we going to find a tarp that big?

There would be a glowing projection of a raging hard-on in the sky 24/7.

Called Rayleigh Scattering. Light is white but made up of many different colors. Most of the longer waves go straight to the earth while the shorter ones go into gas molecules which in turn causes the light to appear blue. The color of the sky near the horizon appears paler or white because it takes longer to get to you.
Cronic man.. didnt you ever wonder why the sky turns pink during a sunset?

That was kinda a weird/dumb question. That would effect the environment so intensely. Like namely, rain.

It travels further through the atmosphere, the blue and green waves dissipate , leaving red. It slowly changes orange to red if you watch closely which backs up my point.
